Chef Alastair Fullerton has sailed into The Wolff Grill at Titanic Hotel Belfast, putting his unique stamp on the award-winning restaurant’s menu for summer.

Developing an exciting new seasonal menu which offers a modern and casual dining experience, blending sophistication with high quality local produce, his dishes include delectable nibbles, starters, mains, and succulent steaks from the grill, perfect pairings for each dish, vegetarian and vegan options, and tempting desserts.

Speaking about the inspiration for the menu, Alastair said: “My focus is on local produce, seeking out quality ingredients to bring the dishes to life. I have spent 40 years in kitchens in Belfast, Dublin and London and I am looking forward to serving up some of the finest food to our diners in a setting which exudes a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere.

“I am indebted to the strong team in the kitchen and our staff and management who support me as we work in tandem to excel in delivering consistent excellence throughout the day to our guests for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

“I love that our menu has evolved with diners taste buds and my vision is for local people to make The Wolff Grill their local, a real destination restaurant and extension of Belfast’s thriving hospitality scene, calling in for a bite to eat after work, relaxing over a leisurely Sunday lunch or treating themselves to an indulgent afternoon tea. I want diners to come in and enjoy a high-end food experience without formality.”

Adrian McNally, General Manager of Titanic Hotel Belfast – who is an Armagh native – said: “Titanic Hotel Belfast is renowned for being awarded the title of Northern Ireland’s Leading Hotel every year since we opened. Our restaurant, The Wolff Grill, embarked on a journey of offering an exceptional dining experience and has also won numerous awards over the years.

“We would like to welcome Alastair to our team as he brings a wealth of experience to Titanic Hotel Belfast, having spent four decades in busy hotel and restaurant kitchens.

“On working with Alastair to create his new menu, I have witnessed his passion and love for food. We have considered the new era in which foodies chart their way through a menu and enjoy being inspired by a bounty of flavours and choices from nibbles to extravagant mains.

“We believe that with this new and exciting menu we have created a culinary experience to satisfy the taste buds of those with an hour to spare at lunchtime, taking the children out for an early evening tea, nipping in before taking in Belfast’s night life or a show in the nearby SSE Arena and those who wish to relax by spending the evening with a sharing steak over three exuberant courses.”

The new Wolff Grill menu celebrates the very best of local and international ingredients. Dishes centre around new starters of burrata with spring vegetables and a duck spring roll with pineapple salsa, a duck leg main and expertly butchered meats from the grill, fresh seafood sourced from local suppliers across Northern Ireland including a seafood linguine and a seared fillet of sea bass, and seasonal vegetables selected for flavour and freshness.

With no white tablecloths in sight, the aim is clear: to create an environment where diners feel just as comfortable enjoying a spontaneous weekday meal as they do when celebrating a special occasion.
