Sewing Machinists

Key Responsibilities

  • Production Sewing: Operate industrial sewing machines (overlock, flatlock, coverstitch) to assemble garment components accurately according to technical specifications.
  • Fabric Handling: Work expertly with various sports materials and technical stretch fabrics.
  • Quality Control: Inspect components before, during, and after sewing to ensure high-quality stitching, correct tension, and adherence to production standards.
  • Pattern Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, patterns, and work instructions for accurate assembly.
  • Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines, such as cleaning, oiling, and changing needles to prevent downtime.
  • Speed and Efficiency: Meet daily production targets and deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Workplace Safety: Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including strict compliance with broken needle policies.

Requirements

  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow precise technical specifications.
  • Physical Dexterity: Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced production team.

Desirable Criteria

Experience with automated sewing equipment is preferred but not essential, training will be provided.

Embroidery Operative 

  • Full Time, Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00

Job Responsibilities

  • Setting up machines: You’ll be responsible for setting up embroidery machines, ensuring they are calibrated correctly for each project.
  • Material selection: Select the appropriate thread, fabric, hoops, and designs based on project specifications.
  • Supervising embroidery process: Oversee the embroidery process, ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Troubleshooting and repair: Read instructional manuals to troubleshoot and repair machines as needed.
  • Maintenance duties: Regularly inspect machines, perform maintenance tasks, and reorder stock when necessary.
  • Order tracking: Keep track of work orders and update records.
