Killeen Hardware looking for a reliable and detail-focused Yard Security & Goods Checker to join our busy builders merchants.
You’ll play a key role in protecting our stock, supporting our sales operations, and ensuring customers leave with exactly what they have purchased—no more, no less.
Security personnel wanted:
Monday, Thursday, Friday 7:30am – 5:30pm
Saturday 8:30am – 1pm
Ideal applicant would have experience in trades or building, be honest, willing to be open and close yard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check all delivery notes, invoices, and sales orders at the exit point.
- Compare items listed on paperwork with goods loaded onto customer vehicles.
- Challenge and report any discrepancies or irregularities.
- Maintain accurate records of checks carried out.
- Monitor yard activity and support overall site security.
- Work closely with the sales and yard teams to ensure smooth customer flow.
- Follow company safety and security procedures at all times.
About You:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confident, professional, and able to deal with discrepancies politely.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Able to work outdoors
- Previous experience in security, builders merchants or a trade is an advantage but not essential.
