Salary: From £28000 per year
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Bar Manager in supervising daily bar operations, including food preparation, beverage service, and customer interactions
- Support staff training and development to ensure excellent customer service and adherence to food safety standards
- Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste
- Operate POS systems for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
- Supervise shift management to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours in a quick service or casual dining setting
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with health regulations
- Ensure quality standards are met for all menu items
- Support kitchen management activities including food safety protocols and food presentation standards
- Participate in interviewing and hiring new team members to build a skilled and motivated staff
- Contribute to budget management by monitoring costs related to food, beverages, and labor
- Engage in Duty Manager shifts when required.

Essential Candidate:
- Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management with a focus on bar operations
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transactions
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in supervising teams and managing shift operations
- Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and food management processes
- Skilled in staff training, development, and performance coaching
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform cash handling procedures confidently
- Knowledge of catering, banquet service, or hotel experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary experience or barista experience is advantageous for supporting beverage preparation tasks
