Overview
Willowbank Surgery is looking for an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse / Treatment Room Nurse to join our team.

About the Role
This is a varied and rewarding position, with the opportunity to use and develop your nursing skills within primary care.
Duties may include:
- Treatment room procedures and general nursing care
- Wound care and dressings
- Venepuncture and blood sampling
- ECGs
- Injections and vaccinations
- Removal of sutures and clips
- Chronic disease management
- Health promotion and preventative healthcare
- Patient education and advice
- Maintaining accurate clinical records
- Working closely with GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team
Hours are negotiable, and we are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements with the successful applicant.
We Are Looking For
A nurse who is:
- Currently registered with the NMC
- Caring, professional and patient-focused
- Enthusiastic and committed to delivering high-quality care
- A good communicator who works well as part of a team
- Organised, reliable and able to work independently
- Committed to maintaining high professional and clinical standards
While prior experience in general practice, primary care or a treatment room environment is desirable, it is not essential, as appropriate training and ongoing support will be provided to the successful candidate
Experience in areas such as chronic disease management, wound care, immunisations and venepuncture is desirable.
