Overview
Re-Gen Group are currently recruiting for the role of a Fitter. The role is with Versaffix which is part of the Re-Gen Group and will be reporting to the management team.
Versaffix is a recently established family run company located outside of Newry, with a focus on engineering excellence, innovation and customer service in manufacturing tiltrotators, and attachments for excavators.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting new Company with big ambitions, the successful candidate will be required to facilitate and assist with the manufacture and fitting of our tilt-rotators.
You will also help maintain and develop the facilities and mechanical infrastructure, within our workshop, always ensuring a high-quality standard is achieved and ensuring Health & Safety procedures are always adhered to. Ideally the right candidate will be able to hit the ground running.
This role offers opportunity to develop into production management or other roles that the candidate may suit further into their career.
Fitter Essential Criteria:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in fitting mechanical components.
- Experience with steel fabrication.
- Ability to work unsupervised or desire to train to a high standard of workmanship to achieve deadlines. (Training will be available where needed)
- Previous experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable in line with company requirements.
Desirable Criteria:
- 5+ years’ experience in mechanical fitting
- Previous experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Good English communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to highlight improvements in production and communicate to Engineering.
- Driving licence
Duration: Full Time Permanent
Location: Lislea
Remuneration: £15 – £18 per hour Depending on experience
Hours of work: 8am to 6pm
