Sunnymead Residential Living are looking for a Chef / Cook to join their team.
The Role:
We currently require a Chef / Cook to work within the catering team providing homestyle, tasty meals to our Residents.
Chef / Cook –Permanent posts, Full time and part time hours available
The Hours of Work:
Daily shift patterns are 8am – 5.15pm
Work days are Monday to Sunday, with weekend duties shared within the team, usually one in three.
Rate of Pay: £15 per hour
Holidays: 5.6 weeks in the year

Location:
Sunnymead is located on the outskirts of Armagh city, at 12 Portadown road, Armagh, BT61 9EE
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist with menu planning and preparation of meals, including specialised diets, ensuring quality, choice, taste and variety
- Knowledge of Food safety and Hygiene
- Manage food stock and assist with orders
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and Care home policies
- Engage with residents for menu choices and use feedback to enhance mealtime experience
The Person:
We need candidates who are highly motivated with the ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative, completing their work to a high standard.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience working as a Chef / Cook in a commercial setting
- Food Safety Certification level 3
- Knowledge of specialised diets and allergens
- Good attention to detail and presentation of food
- Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills
- Physically fit for the job
Desirable Criteria:
- Level 2 or 3 in Professional Cookery
- Previous experience gained within Care home setting
- Full induction training will be provided
