Overview
Emerson’s Supermarket Armagh is looking for a full-time Butcher to join our team.
This person will become a vital cog in the daily operations of the butchery and assist in other functions as needed.
The store operates 7 days a week so the role will require flexibility, this position is 40 hours a week approximately.
Qualifications:
- High school or equivalent.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Knowledge of meat handling, trimming, and butchery techniques.
- Knowledge of the use of knives and how to properly clean them.
- Ability to read and understand written instructions.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures, including sanitation standards for food handling areas, including but not limited to food storage areas, refrigeration areas, kitchen areas, and preparation areas.

Experience:
- Butchering: 2 years (preferred)
