Daily Bake Armagh are now recruiting for a Senior Production Supervisor reporting to the Operations Director and who will be responsible for the activities of food manufacturing departments.

The Senior Production Supervisor will manage team of production staff and schedule production activities to ensure orders are met at the correct time. The person must be able to understand and implement a variety of food-processing techniques and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

The job will require working outside office hours, this means the person who will fulfil the requirements of this role has both technical expertise and the ability and confidence to take action to resolve issues as and when these arrive.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Excellent administrative skills

  • Ability of creative problem solving and commitment to company goals
  • Knowledge of food safety principles
  • Good leadership skills and the ability to make the right decisions quickly in a highly pressurised situation
  • Confident communicator (written and verbal communication) – must have ability to speak to groups and be assertive
  • Ability to analyse and plan effectively in order to balance priorities
  • Proactive and have ability to work on own initiative
  • Ideal candidate is a person with tenacity and drive to achieve results
  • With at least 3 years practical experience acquired in food industry within a similar role
  • Must have knowledge in Food Safety At least Level 2 and HACCP Principles
  • With practical knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Job Duties

  • Planning and organising production schedule/meetings
    Ensuring that the correct products are made efficiently and to the right quality, for delivery to customers
  • Responsibility of achieving and attaining a 100% level of customer service.
  • Constantly monitoring the production processes and adjusting the schedules to ensure all products are produced on time while being responsible for food safety, integrity, legality and quality.
  • Working with the Managing & Operations Director to implement the company’s policies and goals
  • To manage the ongoing job performance of the manufacturing team
  • Challenge, investigate and correct non-conformances e.g. quality, stock rotation, waste management etc.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to manufacturing team members
  • Maintain strong relationships at senior management level to build solid working relationships based on mutual trust and respect and ensure alignment of business objectives
  • Promote a culture of Continuous Improvement within work area
  • Liaise with the team to implement best practice processes and procedures
  • Full compliance with general Health and Safety rules and procedures
  • Control deliveries to the site
  • Ensure that all personnel adhere to the Company Policies and Hygiene Policy
  • Ensure that all personnel adhere to Health and Safety regulations
  • Ensure all personnel adhere to cleaning procedures
  • Ensure that all products are of high quality and conform to customer specification
  • Ensure that orders are ready at the required time
  • Monitor the various stages of production and despatch to ensure that quality checks are being carried out
  • Monitor factory floor, ensuring that all activities run smoothly
  • Any other duties, within reason and capability, as determined by the Managing/Operations Director
