Freeburn Transport is a family run business located in Moy, a village located between Dungannon and Armagh in Northern Ireland.

The Company has extensive transport operations covering Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and with depots located throughout Scotland and England is a growing organisation.

Job Overview:

As Accounts Payable, you will be responsible for managing and processing all invoices received for payment and undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The role is Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.

Job Duties:

• Processing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Collaborate with different departments to resolve billing and payment issues.
• Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
• Generate reports detailing accounts payable status.
• Assist with month-end closing by reconciling statements.
• Provide supporting documentation for audits.
• Communicating with customers on the status of payments.

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
• Proven ability to calculate and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Data entry skills.
• Understanding of Confidentiality.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
