Overview
Allens of Caledon Coffee Shop are looking for an experienced Cook/Baker to serve delicious, breakfasts, scones, cakes, soups and gourmet sandwiches within our busy cafe kitchen.
Presentation of plating food will be of particular importance and a high standard of food presentation, food safety and hygiene is required.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes.
- Cleaning and hygiene are essential, you will maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and storing ingredients properly.
- Support the team during peak hours by multitasking and working efficiently under pressure.
- Ensuring continuity and a consistently high standard in everything you do and everything you serve.
- Responsible for ordering and controlling stock and minimising waste.
- You will be aware of Health & Safety and food safety standards, ensuring due diligence checks are done as required.
- An interest in supporting team members with barista skills and a willingness to learn and develop new skills within our workplace as well as assisting others in their learning process, sharing knowledge, passion and pride.

Wage dependant on age and experience.
A full time, permanent position is available working 35-45 hours per week.
Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays.

Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour
