Overview
Armagh City Hotel are seeking a Food and Beverage Server who has experience working in a bar and restaurant.
As a Food and Beverage server you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service across our restaurant, bar, deli and conference and banqueting departments.
You will ensure high standards of service and maintain a warm and welcome atmosphere for our guests. You will be based in the Callan Bar and you may also be presented with opportunities to work across all food outlets of the hotel (Restaurant, Deli and Conference and Banqueting).

Key Responsibilities:
As a food and beverage server you will be responsible for:
- Presenting a professional and courteous attitude, to include professional presentation of uniform and hygiene.
- Ensuring that all tasks are completed within the allocated time frames, maintaining the standard expected of the hotel.
- Greeting customers, having extensive knowledge of menu’s, taking orders efficiently and presenting them as requested.
- Maximising sales and ensure prompt and accurate billing procedures.
- Maintaining effective communication and relationships with other hotel departments to ensure effective operation and guest satisfaction.
- Attending all training, meetings, and courses to upskill and refresh food service skills.
- Ensuring a high level of cleanliness in your department, public areas and back corridor, adhering to cleaning policies, rotas etc
- Handling any guest queries and complaints, ensuring to record and report accurately and escalate where applicable.
- Complying with all Safety Rules and Policies and Procedures as outlined in The Employee Handbook.

You should have and be able to demonstrate:
- Exceptional customer service
- Extreme organisational skills, with excellent time management skills
- The ability to work under pressure to achieve objectives within timescales, without compromising accuracy and quality
- The ability to make intelligent decisions when faced with competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with great interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
Desirable Candidate:
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
