Armagh City Hotel are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Server to join our team at Armagh City Hotel.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent guest services, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring the smooth operation of our food service area. This role offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills within a dynamic environment, with a focus on food safety and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will be provided with the opportunity to work in all food and beverage outlets across the hotel (bar, deli, restaurant, conference and banqueting.

This is a temporary seasonal position at a minimum of 3 months but may be extended to due company needs. The successful applicant must have full weekend flexibility.

Salary: £8.50 to £12.21 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
As a food and beverage server you will be responsible for:

  • Presenting a professional and courteous attitude, to include professional presentation of uniform and hygiene.
  • Ensuring that all tasks are completed within the allocated time frames, maintaining the standard expected of the hotel.
  • Greeting customers, having extensive knowledge of menu’s, taking orders efficiently and presenting them as requested.
  • Maximising sales and ensure prompt and accurate billing procedures.
  • Maintaining effective communication and relationships with other hotel departments to ensure effective operation and guest satisfaction.
  • Attending all training, meetings, and courses to upskill and refresh food service skills.
  • Ensuring a high level of cleanliness in your department, public areas and back corridor, adhering to cleaning policies, rotas etc
  • Handling any guest queries and complaints, ensuring to record and report accurately and escalate where applicable.
  • Complying with all Safety Rules and Policies and Procedures as outlined in The Employee Handbook.

You should have and be able to demonstrate:

  • Extreme organisational skills, with excellent time management skills
  • The ability to work under pressure to achieve objectives within timescales, without compromising accuracy and quality
  • The ability to make intelligent decisions when faced with competing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with great interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.

Desirable Candidate
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions;

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
