Alexanders of Markethill are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Full-Time Chef to join our busy kitchen team at Alexanders Coffee House & Food Hall.

Alexanders of Markethill is an independent, family-owned department store established in 1954. Over 70 years later, we remain a family-run business with a strong focus on quality, customer service and creating a welcoming experience for everyone who visits us.
Our Coffee House & Food Hall is an important part of the Alexanders experience, serving freshly prepared food, homemade treats and takeaway food produced by our kitchen team.
The Role
Working under the guidance of our Head Chef, you will:
- Prepare, cook and present food to an excellent standard within our busy Coffee House.
- Assist with the preparation and baking of our range of homemade food and treats.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
- Work effectively as part of our kitchen and Coffee House team.
What We’re Looking For
- A minimum of one year’s experience in cooking and/or baking is essential.
- Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
What We Offer
- Full-time position – 37.5–40 hours per week
- 5 days per week, including Saturdays
- Daytime working hours
- Sundays off – we are closed every Sunday
