Key Responsibilities

  • To present a professional and courteous attitude, to include professional presentation of uniform and hygiene.
  • To ensure that all function areas are checked and set up correctly for the day/next day’s business as per the function sheets, liaising with other departments where necessary.
  • To attend to all customer requirements. Handling customer queries and complaints, ensuring to record and report accurately and escalate where applicable.
  • To service rooms, polish and buff floors, clean public areas when required and to ensure that the porters store is clean and tidy.
  • To ensure that all equipment in the department is looked after and regularly maintained.
  • To regularly carry out hygiene and maintenance checks, to include public areas/entrances/exits ensuring the latter are free from obstruction. Recording, reporting and resolving any hygiene or maintenance issues in the hotel or on the hotel grounds.
  • To attend training courses as and when required.
  • To comply with all Safety Rules and Policies and Procedures as outlined in The Employee Handbook.

Essential Candidate

  • Must be customer focused.
  • Must be extremely organised, with the ability to make intelligent decisions when faced with competing priorities.
  • Excellent at both verbal and written communication, with great interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.

Desirable Candidate

  • Previous experience is desirable but not essential
