Sunnymead Residential Living are seeking a Head Cook / Catering Manager to join their team.

Head Cook / Catering Manager: Full time –  36Hrs per week

Salary: £17.50 per Hour / or £31, 850 per year

Job role to include:

  • Effective catering service delivery
  • Menu planning, inclusive of dietary requirement of residents, IDDSI
  • Ensure Food Safety Standards, Kitchen Hygiene, Audits and Records are up to date
  • Health and Safety
  • Staff Management; Appointment, Training, Supervision and Appraisal.

Skills required:

  • Professional Cookery level 2/3 or equivalent
  • 3 years experience working as a cook, preferably in a team lead role
  • Knowledge of IDDSI
  • Food Hygiene Certificate level 2/3 & HACCP level 2/3
  • The ability to communicate positively with residents, relatives and colleagues. In a constructive and collaborative manner, and to have a genuine passion/desire to work with older people in a person centered manner

Our homemade dishes, prepared on premised by our experienced cooks, cater for all tastes and preferences including those with special dietary requirements. We use fresh, locally-sourced produce for all meals. Residents are encouraged to have input into the design of the menu, and on occasion will help in whipping up a dessert for dinnertime.
