Overview

Re-Gen Waste are seeking IT Manager to join their expanding team based in Newry.

Job Overview:

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the seamless and efficient day-to-day functioning of the company IT infrastructure and operations. The candidate will oversee and optimise IT processes, support the organisation and technology needs, and contribute to the overall reliability and performance of IT systems.

Key Duties:

• Management and development of the IT Team
• Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
• Monitor and report on IT objectives and ensure that any areas of concern are raised in a timely manner and strategic solutions proposed are implemented
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
• Supervise daily operations of network server infrastructure
• Align the IT Strategy with the current Business Strategy
• Oversee and contribute to project management activities related to IT initiatives.
• Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
• Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
• Manage the ticketing system
• Preserve assets, information security and control structures
• Assessing and purchasing of new and replacement hardware
• Assuring that all IT activities are within the applicable laws
• Communicate key information to Stakeholders
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within IT operations.

Essential Criteria:

• Hold a Third level qualification in Computer Science
• Minimum 5 years proven experience in IT Management
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
• Excellent organisational and analytical skills
• Ability to work toward tight schedules and deadlines and problem solving
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Full Driving Licence and access to own transport
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Highly motivated with a positive attitude to any change

Duration: Full Time Permanent

Location: Newry

Remuneration: Attractive

Hours of work: 8am to 5pm
