Overview
McKeevers Sports are seeking Sewing Machinists to join their busy team based in Craigavon.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Sewing: Operate industrial sewing machines (overlock, flatlock, coverstitch) to assemble garment components accurately according to technical specifications.
- Fabric Handling: Work expertly with various sports materials and technical stretch fabrics.
- Quality Control: Inspect components before, during, and after sewing to ensure high-quality stitching, correct tension, and adherence to production standards.
- Pattern Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, patterns, and work instructions for accurate assembly.
- Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines, such as cleaning, oiling, and changing needles to prevent downtime.
- Speed and Efficiency: Meet daily production targets and deadlines without compromising quality.
- Workplace Safety: Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including strict compliance with broken needle policies.
Requirements
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow precise technical specifications.

Desirable Criteria
- Experience with automated sewing equipment is preferred but not essential, training will be provided.
