An exciting opportunity has arisen for an NPD/ Packaging Technologist at Linwoods.
This role will focus on the development of products within our Health Food department. The successful candidate must be self-motivated and have a strong background in nutrition and health.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and innovate new products and processes as part of the New Product
- Development Team from concept to launch.
- Carry out new product and packaging trials
- Compile/check/approve product specifications and labelling
- Carry out research on new food and health trends, competitors and new ingredients
- Attend food and trade shows
- Develop and refine recipes and prepare product costing
- Communicate with suppliers to source ingredients and packaging
- Comply with food safety, HACCP, allergen management and quality systems
- Co-operate and communicate closely with Production, Commercial, Technical, Marketing, Engineering and Finance to ensure the effective and efficient running of the NPD process.
Essential Criteria:
- Degree in Food Technology/Food Science or a similar degree with an emphasis on food nutrition
- At least 1 years’ experience in a similar role within a FMCG capacity
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Minimum GCSE English/Maths/Science or equivalent
- Strong understanding of food science, nutrition, and ingredient functionality.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to food and nutrition regulations, claims and labelling.
- IT proficient
