Healthy Kidz require Coaches in different areas across Armagh, South Armagh and Mid-Ulster.

Healthy Kidz are seeking dynamic and passionate individuals to join our team as a Coach. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering high-quality coaching programmes within various primary schools and organisations across Northern Ireland, fostering a love for physical activity and promoting a healthy lifestyle among children and young people.

This roles requires a combination of coaching expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate students to participate in a variety of sports.

Job type – Perm.
Hours of work – Flexible / part-time / full-time considered

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out a variety of coaching multi sports programmes within our schools and partner organisations.
  • Lead sessions, providing clear instructions and demonstrations.
  •  Assist with the planning, delivery and coordination of the Healthy Kidz programme including PE lessons, afterschool sessions and holiday camps.
  • Collaborate with school staff and teachers to ensure a seamless integration of sports programs within the school’s educational framework.
  • Inspire and motivate participants to adopt and maintain an active and healthy lifestyle.
  •  Create a positive and inclusive environment that encourages students of all abilities to participate in sports activities.
  • Communicate clearly with management and fellow coaches. Whether this is to be done via 1 to 1, small group meets, email, calls and messaging.
  • Ensure sessions is up to required high standard based on assessments.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants. Be responsible for ensuring prompt reporting and recording of all accidents, incidents or dangerous occurrences.

Requirements:

  • 1 year experience in delivering coaching sessions with both adults and young people.
  • Two Foundation coaching qualifications or equivalent.
  • Enhanced Access NI checks completed.
  • Completed a Safeguarding Course.
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition, and health.
  • Ability to coach a range of sports/activities.
  • Experience of delivering lessons in a school environment.
  • Full clean driving licence with access to own vehicle.
