Key Responsibilities:
- Operate thermoforming machines to manufacture plastic punnets in accordance with operating procedures.
- Comply with all aspects of Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety procedures.
- Carry out all relevant activities of Good Manufacturing Practice and follow written procedures.
- Complete and record all necessary quality documentation.
- Demonstrate ability to effectively and efficiently start up and shutdown the thermoforming and extruding machines in a safe manner.
- Work out quality and processing problems and make corrections accordingly.
- Set moulds as and when required.
- Operate a forklift or other equipment to move raw materials and finished products from one area to another on site.
- Assist in training of temporary employees and other operators working on machines.
- Help assist in good housekeeping in the production area.
- Determine and implement improvements to the production process.
- Work under the guidance of a supervisor to perform and complete the assigned duties in a timely manner.
