Armagh City Hotel are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Public Area Cleaner to join our housekeeping team.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of public areas within our establishment, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and demonstrate effective communication abilities, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Shift Schedule: Evening, late nights, weekdays and weekends

Key Responsibilities

  • To present a professional and courteous attitude, to include professional presentation of uniform and hygiene.
  • To clean all public areas of the hotel to a high standard.
  • To ensure that all tasks are completed within the allocated time frames, maintaining the standard expected of the hotel.
  • To maintain effective communication and relationships with other hotel departments to ensure effective operation and guest satisfaction.
  • To ensure that any torn or dirty linen and defective equipment is reported to the head housekeeper and/or maintenance.
  • To ensure that trolleys are kept stocked at all times and neat and tidy when in corridors.
  • To attend all chemical/hazardous substance training and to adhere to safety rules when handling the same.
  • Handling any guest queries and complaints, ensuring to record and report accurately and escalate where applicable.
  • To comply with all Safety Rules and Policies and Procedures as outlined in The Employee Handbook.

Essential Candidate
You should have and be able to demonstrate:

  • The ability to work under pressure to achieve objectives within timescales, without compromising accuracy and quality.
  • Must be extremely organised, with the ability to make intelligent decisions when faced with competing priorities.
  • Excellent at both verbal and written communication, with great interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.

Desirable Candidate
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions;

  • Previous experience in a similar role desirable
