Hundreds of jobs up for grabs at online Job Fairs!

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council will be hosting free virtual Job Fairs from February to June 2022, showcasing a wide range of exciting opportunities on offer across the borough!

Hundreds of employers will be coming on board offering over 1,000 jobs and hoping to recruit from the vast pool of local talent across the ABC area.

The virtual Job Fairs will take place on the last Tuesday of each month – each one beginning at 9.30am:

– February Job Fair – Tuesday 22 February
– March Job Fair – Tuesday 29 March
– April Job Fair – Tuesday 26 April
– May Job Fair – Tuesday 31 May
– June Job Fair – Tuesday 28 June

Local people are invited to sign-up to find out about job opportunities throughout the borough directly from employers. The event also offers information on training opportunities, free careers guidance and practical advice to improve your chances of finding employment. Attendees will receive a full listing of available vacancies including extra information on recruitment and
training support after the event.

Vacancies are available from large and small employers in a range of sectors, including: manufacturing, construction, hospitality, retail, catering, transport, engineering, health and social work, the public sector and professional services.

A wide range of innovative speakers will also attend the Job Fairs to offer their advice, guidance and help to secure your perfect job! Confirmed names include – Michelle McAuley a trusted Business Consultant, Executive Coach and the Founder and Director of ‘Creating Potential’; Cara Marks, a Public Services Director at Hays Recruitment; Louise Brogan from SocialBee – a master of LinkedIn and how to use it for business and employment purposes; Ashleigh Watson who owns and manages Copper Square NI, a social media marketing consultancy and Andrew Toogood from Proclaim Consulting.

Speaking at the launch, Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon, Alderman Glenn Barr commented: “We are delighted to be able to bring together local people and employers who are actively recruiting. The virtual Job Fairs reinforces Council’s commitment to employment, improving skills and securing the economic prosperity of the borough for the future.

“It also highlights our dedication to seeking new and innovative ways to use technology to deliver services for our residents and businesses.”
