Established in the early 1880’s, Basil Sheils was one of the last bottle houses (no draft beer) in Ireland.
However, over recent years Basil Sheils has evolved immensely from the small traditional Irish bar to something quite special.

Chef de Partie
Key duties include:
- Prepare cook and display all dishes in the area of responsibility to the correct menu specification with regard to quality and quantity.
- Helping the sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes and menus
- Ensure you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of food hygiene.
- Monitoring portion and food control to maintain profit margins
Breakfast Chef/Cook
Key Duties:
- To prepare, cook and present all breakfast dishes within your area of responsibility to the correct menu specification.
- Ensuring you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety.
- To assist in the preparation of food according to recipes and cooking standards.
- Reliable, hardworking and have the ability to work in a fast paced kitchen.
Commis Chef
- Maintain high level of standards, personal hygiene, uniform and appearance.
- Accept flexible working hours where necessary to achieve your goals and objectives.
- Monitoring portion and food control to maintain profit margins
- To ensure highest standards of hygiene and sanitation by complying with all HACCP regulations and ensuring correct food storage and handling techniques and utilised.
- Prepare cook and display all dishes in the area of responsibility to the correct menu specification with regard to quality and quantity.
