Armagh based electrical engineering firm ASEE create five progressive job opportunities

Aidan Strain Electrical and Mechanical Engineering has been in business for over 40 years and in that time ASEE has adapted with the changing industries, leading to their establishment as one of the best in their field.

Although a lot of their work centres around generator integration, the company still retains a firm foothold in the electrical and mechanical installation fields, having completed the full electrical fit-out of six data centres around Amsterdam, and counting…

The company centres on a nucleus of 70 staff with additional resources employed as necessary to service particular project requirements.

Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer will produce specifications for design, develop, manufacture, and install new or modified components or systems.

Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role and a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

BIM Coordinator

The BIM Coordinator will work directly with the engineers and the BIM Manager in MEP focused design works.

The successful candidate will be experienced in using the industry standard CAD/BIM applications and will have a proven record of delivering to quality, time and budget. In-house and external training will be provided.

Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in CAD and/or BIM, preferably in a building services context and a minimum of 2 years and experience in Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage and AutoCAD.

Mechanical Estimator

The Mechanical Estimator will analyse a project before it starts, accurately estimating costs related to labour, materials, equipment, and other relevant areas.

Applicants should have 2+ years previous experience in Estimating with a main Mechanical or Building Services contractor (essential), strong negotiating skills, a strong understanding of mechanical technology and innovative techniques as well as understanding the commercial aspects of tendering, a relevant construction qualification at HND level or equivalent.

Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer will produce specifications for design, develop, manufacture, and install new or modified components or systems.

The role responsibilities include carrying out feasibility studies for new technical innovations, drawing up plans using computer-assisted engineering and design software, estimating material, construction, and labour costs, and project timescales, coordinating technicians and craftspeople, testing installations and systems, and analysing data, making sure projects meet electrical and construction safety regulations, overseeing inspection and maintenance programmes, attending meetings, writing reports and giving presentations to managers and clients.

Applicants should have a Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, 3+ years’ experience in similar role and impeccable attention to detail.

Project Managers

Project Management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope.

The successful candidate will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget and will oversee all aspects of projects.

Candidates should have 3+ years’ experience in a PM role in the M&E industry, ability to monitor and control budgets, excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages, Word, Excel etc…
