Combined materials recovery facility, Re-Gen Waste, are recruiting for a number of vacancies due to the construction of their new site.
The family owned and managed business, based in Newry, have almost completed work on a new state-of-the-art welfare building and operate a licenced 24 hour a day factory where thousands of tonnes of waste is processed daily.

The Contracts Manager will be required to assist and develop the Re-Gen Waste portfolio of contracts for various stakeholders and governing bodies.
Based from the Company’s head office in Newry however will require some travel from time to UK reporting to the Company’s Business Development Director. In addition to being involved in the day-to-day duties which will include the collation, validation and formal reporting to keep us at the forefront of the recycling industry.
Business is exciting and fast moving you will therefore be required to take responsibility to ensure full compliance with all regularity legislation that governs the business whilst also complying fully to the company’s health, safety, environmental and quality systems and procedures.

With work recently started on our new site Re-Gen Waste have an amazing opportunity for the role of Digger Driver reporting to the Site Manager.
As a successful candidate you will be responsible operating a 360 excavator, ideal candidate will need to hold relevant cards such as Roller, Dumper, Telehandler, Loading shovel etc.

The successful candidate will be based within our Waste to Energy plant and will be required to bail material whilst also ensuring KPI’s are on target, in doing this you will be responsible for cleaning the strapper, wrapper and keeping stock control.
The candidate must follow H&S policies at all times and work as part of a team whilst keeping their work area clean.

Re-Gen Waste are currently recruiting for the role of General Operative with quality control duties to join a growing team based in our site in Newry working within a Waste to Energy plant. You would be working in a busy waste management environment where the main purpose of the role would be cleaning duties around the plant, maintaining safe working environment and performing quality control duties.
Due to the night-time restrictions for young workers, the company can only accept candidates over the age of 18 as this role will involve working between 10pm to 6am.

This will be a varied role that will suit an experienced labourer or someone with a trades background that is happy to undertake all labouring works on site.
You will be assisting trades with pipe work, concrete, kerbing etc and must be able to follow H&S policies, work as part of a team to a high standard of quality in output at all times.

The overall purpose of the Health and Safety Officer role is to assist to maintain standards by carrying out site inspections, H&S audits and to assist to maintain compliance with existing Integrated management systems, to ensure compliance with license requirements, site working plan, keeping up to date with existing and new legislation.
The candidate will also carry out monitoring activities, investigate incidents and report to the department head. Additional aspects of the role are to develop the candidates’ own abilities and knowledge with a view to assist the department goals in ensuring best practice is implemented across Re-Gen group sites.
