Health and Safety Officer

The overall purpose of the Health and Safety Officer is to assist to maintain standards by carrying out site inspections, H&S audits and to assist to maintain compliance with existing Integrated management systems, to ensure compliance with license requirements, site working plan, keeping up to date with existing and new legislation.

The candidate will also carry out monitoring activities, investigate incidents and report to the department head. Additional aspects of the role are to develop the candidates’ own abilities and knowledge with a view to assist the department goals in ensuring best practice is implemented across Re-Gen group sites.

Shovel Driver – Weekends

Working within a Waste to Energy Plant, the key responsibilities of the Shovel Driver will be to drive the shovel, empty bunkers, operate heavy goods machinery, follow instructions from the supervisor and to comply with Health and Safety policy at all times and adapt safe methods of working.

Previous experience of operating heavy vehicles is required.

Payroll Officer

The Payroll Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and timeliness of payroll activities, contributing to the overall success of the organisation. This is a newly created role and the successful candidate will be responsible for processing weekly and monthly payroll for around 300 staff across Re-Gen group of companies.

General/QC Operative

Re-Gen Waste require a General Operative with quality control duties to join the growing team based at their site in Newry working within a Waste to Energy plant.

You would be working in a busy waste management environment where the main purpose of the role would be cleaning duties around the plant, maintaining safe working environment and performing quality control duties.

Buyer

This is an excellent opportunity for an exceptional Buyer to take on a challenging and exciting role as Re-Gen continues to grow rapidly.

The Buyer will work with senior management to run the purchasing department, conduct supplier negotiations and establish price structures for parts and materials, use quarterly and annual data to determine purchasing needs and perform inventory management.

Digger Driver – Weekends

Working within a Waste to Energy Plant, the key responsibilities of the Digger Driver will be to operate a digger, load baler conveyor, load bales onto trailers, operate heavy goods machinery, follow instructions from supervisor and to comply with Health and Safety policy at all times and adapt safe methods of working.

Recycling Operative

The successful candidates will be based within our recycling facilities in Newry and will be required to dispose of waste materials/products that have been processed through our manufacturing machinery, products such as cardboard, mixed papers, plastic bottles.

Most of sorting process is done by screen separators which separate mixed papers, cardboard, plastic bottles from commingled recyclables. Our Operations teams always work to a high standard of quality in output, and the Company also continues to invest in the upgrade of new equipment and facilities.

Shunter/Tipping Operator

Responsibilities for this role include close cooperation with Plant Manager and work colleagues, prestart checking of machines before every shift starts, operating shunter, telehandler and loading shovel while adhering to Health and Safety rules.

Candidates should be prepared to perform any other duties as may be reasonably required from time-to-time and should have previous experience of operating shunters.
