SRC launch new staff benefit designed to promote sustainable travel
Southern Regional College (SRC) has successfully launched a new staff benefit designed to promote more sustainable travel – The Electric Vehicle (EV) Salary Sacrifice Scheme.
Following a successful procurement process, SRC awarded a contract to TCH Leasing. Through this scheme, permanent staff can lease a brand-new electric vehicle through monthly salary deductions. The initiative offers substantial cost savings while further demonstrating the College’s ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability.
To mark the launch, SRC held an Electric Vehicle Salary Sacrifice Demo Day on Tuesday 18th November at Newry and Armagh campuses. This event gave staff the opportunity to learn more about the benefits of switching to an electric vehicle while viewing a selection of electric vehicle models. Duncan Howell, Account Manager at TCH, was also present to provide advice on vehicle options, potential savings, tax advantages, and how the scheme works.
This scheme is an important and progressive addition to our reward and benefits package, reinforcing SRC’s dedication to supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals and encouraging environmentally responsible choices.
