Armagh City Hotel are now recruiting for a Deli Manager to join their team.

As the Deli Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our hotel Deli Operations. Your leadership skills and attention to detail will contribute to providing exceptional guest experiences.

Contract: Full Time / Permanent

Hours of Work: shift pattern basis

Key Responsibilities:

  • Present a professional and courteous attitude as a member of senior management, to include professional presentation of uniform and hygiene whilst ensuring staff are displaying the same.
  • Manage and motivate employees through effective communication and training and development ensuring HR procedures are followed.
  • Assist with the recruitment and selection of Deli employees.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure the smooth running of the hotel.
  • Assist the hotel with upselling of Deli offers, hotel packages and other services ensuring staff are proactive in the same.
  • Ensure food is presented in a uniformed manner in line with standards of performance as outlined by the head chef.
  • Adhere to all Deli opening and closing procedures, ensuring that all checklists are completed while ensuring staff are proactive in the same.
  • Resolve guest complaints effectively and escalating where applicable, ensuring to record and report in line with hotel policies.
  • Work with the General Manager to help manage annual budgets within your department, putting in place appropriate mechanisms to effectively manage costs and all factors relating to profitable performance of the food operation within your department.
  • Ensure the Deli areas, fixtures and equipment are properly maintained and presented to hotel standards.

Essential Candidate:

  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • A friendly approachable manner with a genuine desire to help and support staff to meet guest needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • The ability to work under pressure to achieve objectives within timescales, without compromising accuracy and quality.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Desirable Candidate:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within hospitality
  • Barista experience
